PROJECT WATCH: Floating Restaurant rising soon at Dolphin Island in MisOcc

A floating restaurant is set to rise at Dolphin Island, the well-known sandbar and fish sanctuary off the coast of Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental, now part of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park (AMORAP) development. The site has been closed to the public for several years due to safety concerns over its deteriorating facilities. With this new project, Dolphin Island could soon welcome tourists once again.

Here’s a satellite view of Dolphin Island and its facilities.

The site is approximately 3.5 kilometers from the main resort development.

Below are perspectives of the floating restaurant.

It can be recalled that in 2023, the Municipal Government of Sinacaban passed an ordinance prohibiting entry into Dolphin Island Fish Sanctuary including the dilapidated structures to prevent any untoward incident.

Meanwhile, browse over some photos of the dilapidated structures at Dolphin Island.
