Here is the updated alignment of the proposed Consolacion-Kauswagan Bridge, the third iconic bridge project set to span the Cagayan de Oro River. According to the presentation, the bridge will start at St. John the Baptist Street near Pasil Road in Kauswagan and cross the river toward Consolacion.

Here’s our interpretation of the Consolacion-Kauswagan Bridge alignment based on the presentation. The detailed plans for the access road have yet to be released, especially since the proposed route passes through relatively narrow roads. Will there be road widening?

Below is the perspective of the bridge.

According to earlier information, the proposed access road will begin at Kauswagan Highway near Petron, follow the existing NHA Phase 3 Road, then continue through Eagle Street (near STI), cross RN Pelaez Boulevard, and proceed to John the Baptist Street before crossing the river toward Consolacion. However, many of these roads—particularly in the Kauswagan Proper area near the Barangay Hall—are quite narrow.

Keep posted.
