A Philippine Airlines (PAL) aircraft stalled on the runway of Ozamiz Airport on Monday, June 16, 2025, shortly after arriving from Manila. PAL Flight PR2889 landed safely at 6:14 AM but was unable to taxi to the terminal due to a nose wheel steering issue. All 161 passengers safely disembarked with no injuries reported. However, the incident led to the cancellation of other scheduled flights. The cause is currently under investigation by PAL and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
