Vantage Energy, a licensed Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) and wholly owned subsidiary of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has entered into power supply agreements with two manufacturing firms in Cagayan de Oro: Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc. (PSWRI), the maker of Nature’s Spring, and Cagayan Corn Products Corp. (CCPC), a producer of cornstarch and other feed products.
These partnerships align with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) program, which allows consumers with a peak demand of at least 500 kilowatts (kW) to choose their preferred retail electricity supplier.
