Juliette Uy has been officially proclaimed as the newly elected governor of Misamis Oriental, defeating incumbent Governor Peter Unabia in a high-stakes rematch of the 2022 elections. Uy secured a decisive 327,305 votes, while Unabia received 235,023, marking a significant turnaround from their previous contest. Meanwhile, Karen Lagbas emerged victorious over incumbent Christian Unabia for the province’s 1st District Representative. Incumbent Bambi Emano dominated the 2nd District congressional race, securing over 90% of the total votes.
