Construction is now in full swing for the Opol Port Expansion and Restoration Project in Misamis Oriental. The ₱731.56-million project was awarded to a joint venture between Khan Kon Chi Construction and Development Corporation and Jioprovider Corporation. It includes expanding berthing areas, restoring old structures, and upgrading the port to handle larger ships and improve cargo operations. Below are screengrabs from a video by Homes in all Forms.
Once completed, the upgraded port is expected to strengthen maritime connectivity and drive regional economic growth by improving the transport of goods and access to nearby municipalities and provinces.
