Transport coop set to pioneer e-jeepney operations in Cagayan de Oro

Mindanao Daily Express Transport Cooperative (MINDEX) is set to become the first transport cooperative in Cagayan de Oro to operate e-jeepneys. Following the signing ceremony with South Korean firm e-Future Motors PH, Inc., MINDEX will receive fifty units of electric vehicles to serve eleven routes in the city’s local public transport route plan: Cugman, Bayabas, Bonbon, Iponan, Zayas, Indahag, Pier, Iponan, Lapasan, Gusa, and Tablon.

The 50 units are set to be delivered in the next few months. e-Future Motors PH Inc. has manufacturing facilities in Bacolod City and Cavite.

MINDEX’s efforts are also in support of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.
