Authorities in Iligan City’s arrested two mothers, ages 45 and 38, for allegedly offering to livestream sexual abuse of children in exchange for money. The victims included their twelve-year-old niece, sixteen-year-old son, fourteen-year-old daughter and a four-year-old child. The Task Force Against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children rescued the children from the suspect’s home during an entrapment operation on February 21, 2025, in Brgy. Bagong Silang, Iligan City, following a four-week investigation.
Other units which participated in the operation are Iligan City Police Office, City Investigation Detection Management Unit, RACU10, CSWD, DSWD, ICMFC-SWAT, WCPC-MFU and Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT).
This marks the 18th successful operation by the OSAEC Task Force since its establishment through a city ordinance in August 2023.
