The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) has officially turned over the 7,700-seater Aquilino Q. Pimentel Jr. International Convention Center (APICC) in Cagayan de Oro City to Premier Islands Management Corporation (PIMC) under a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA). The agreement signed on January 30, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the management and operation of APICC, ensuring its continued growth and development as a premier events destination. PIMC will oversee the center’s operations, enhancing its services and maximizing its potential.

Below are the features and amenities of APICC.
- Arena: A grand space with a seating capacity of 7,700, ideal for concerts, sports events, and large assemblies.
- Main Convention Area: Accommodates 2,180 guests, with multiple lobbies and exhibit areas for networking and displays.
- Function Rooms: Eight versatile rooms designed for various event sizes:
- Function Rooms 2-4, 6-8: 180-person capacity per room
- Function Rooms 1 & 5: 100-person capacity per room
- Lower Ground Facilities: Includes a 135-person hall, two rehearsal rooms, and four club rooms with locker and shower amenities.
- VIP Room with Private Toilet: 11-person capacity
- Canteen: 25-person capacity
- Three Concession Stands: 5-person capacity each
Located in Taguanao, Indahag, the venue is designed to host large-scale conferences, exhibitions, sports and entertainment events like concerts. PIMC aims to optimize the center’s operations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
