One suspect was killed and another arrested after a robbery at GT Fuels Gas Station in Adtuyon, Pangantucan, Bukidnon on February 15, 2025. Police received a call from the cashier and quickly setup a check point at Barangay Bacusanon. The suspects, spotted in a Toyota Fortuner, sped past the checkpoint, triggered a chase and crashed into a canal that ended in a shootout. One suspect died during the exchange, whule the other escaped into a wooded area. The next day, the second suspect was arrested while boarding a cargo truck loaded with sugarcane en route to Maramag, Bukidnon. Further investigation also linked the getaway vehicle to a carnapping incident in Kabacan, North Cotabato earlier that day.

According to a police report, two unidentified armed suspects robbed the GT Fuels gas station in Adtuyon, Pangantucan, Bukidnon on the morning of February 15, 2025. The suspects took the cash register containing P5,000 in cash, and an iPhone 11 worth P15,000 from the cashier. After the robbery, the suspects fled in a gray Toyota Fortuner toward Poblacion, Pangantucan. At about 9:30 AM, the cashier contacted the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station, and police quickly responded by setting up a checkpoint at Sitio Bong Bong, Adtuyon. At 10:10 AM, police spotted the vehicle and began a hot pursuit until it fell into a canal. A shootout ensued, resulting in the death of one suspect – a 24-year-old male from Sitio Proper, Barangay Inug-ug, Pikit, Cotabato based on his identification card.

Police recovered a PRB423 grenade from the vehicle’s backseat, including a caliber .45 Colt 1911A1 pistol, firearm cartridges, various tools, and several other objects connected to the crime.


Meanwhile, a joint hot pursuit and dragnet operation was conducted by the government authorities on Sunday, February 15 that resulted to the successful arrest of a 37-year-old male, a resident of Brgy Bulit, Datu Montawal, Maguindanao del Sur. Prior to his arrest, the suspect was seen boarding a cargo truck loaded with sugar cane heading to Maramag, Bukidnon.




Recovered from the suspect were one unit of an Armscor caliber .45 pistol; one magazine with three live cartridges; one Habagat wallet containing various identification cards of the suspect.
