Brigadier General Michele Anayron, a native of Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental, has been named as the new commander of the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Division with headquarters at Camp Edilberto Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City. Anayron will officially assume his post on Tuesday, January 26, succeeding Maj. Gen. Jose Maria Cuerpo II, who retired last January 17. Currently serving as the commander of the Army’s 403rd Infantry Brigade based in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Anayron will take over from Brig. Gen. Consolito Yecla, who has been acting division commander since Cuerpo’s retirement.
