The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, represented by Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia, has formally entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with A Brown Co., Inc., (ABCI) represented by its President Robertino Pizarro. The agreement focuses on the development of a portion of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol Compound in Cagayan de Oro City into a mixed-use complex. The project, which will be fully funded by A Brown at a cost of P2.5 billion, will be implemented in two phases and will feature a high-rise multi-purpose building, commercial and office buildings, a dormitory, and a public park.
It was also confirmed that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan authorized Governor Unabia to sign the JVA through Provincial Ordinance No. 1613-2024. On the other hand, according to the Philippine Stock Exchange Disclosure Form 4-30, the Board of Directors of A Brown, granted its President the authority to sign the agreement in behalf of the company.

Alongside Governor Unabia, those who signed the JVA were ABCI Legal Council Atty. Antonio Soriano and Provincial Administrator John Venice Ladaga. The signing was witnessed by Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, mayors and representatives from the Misamis Oriental Department Head Association (MODHA).
