One of Cagayan de Oro’s hidden gems for steak lovers can be found tucked away in Barangay Canitoan. Steak Paraiso is housed in a heritage home made of hardwood, originally from Vigan City in Ilocos Sur. The house was disassembled, transported, and reconstructed at its current location, with modern touches like the glass doors and partitions, concrete flooring and air-conditioned dining area. Since its opening in late 2022, the restaurant has received positive reviews from diners and comes highly recommended for its exceptional juicy steaks and charming ambiance. GETTING THERE. From Canitoan-Pagatpat Road, take the road toward Casa de Canitoan and Cooperative Development Authority. Drive straight, then turn right. Steak Paraiso is located approximately 100 meters ahead on the right. See Google map below.
Here’s the entrance gate. Guests can take advantage of roadside parking, as vehicular traffic in the area is minimal.
Here’s the facade of the heritage house. While some guests enjoy the open dining area, the majority prefer the comfort of the fully air-conditioned space.
