With Laguindingan Airport’s operations set to be officially turned over to Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. (AIC) this April, issues with its overnight parking area persist. The airport’s designated parking slots are full, forcing authorities to use the open grassy areas for overnight parking. This has led to muddy conditions due to lack of proper maintenance. Travelers have also raised concerns about the absence of a covered walkway from the overnight parking area to the terminal. Many are hopeful that AIC will address these issues promptly.

The Concession Agreement for the Laguindingan International Airport Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project was signed last October 28, 2024 and the transition period ends in April this year.

I drive. Mid sized SUV but not 4 wheel drive. I got stuck in the mud last time I was there. This upgrade is lo v overdue and as a temporary help I think a generous layer of gravel would be useful.
