Phase 1 of the Traffic Light System Installation Project in Ozamiz City is already underway, with the first of eight major intersections now operational at the junction of Don Anselmo Bernad Avenue and Circumferential Road near PLDT. This initiative aims to modernize the city’s traffic management infrastructure and address the increasing volume of motor vehicle traffic. Once completed, the project is expected to enhance road safety and reduce traffic congestion across key intersections. Phase 2 is already in the pipeline and is anticipated to expand the system to other critical areas of the city.
The 8 intersections under Phase 1 include:
- PLDT – Chicken Ati Atihan – Don Anselmo Bernad Avenue (OPERATIONAL)
- Des Appliance – Don Anselmo Bernad Avenue
- Jollibee Main – Rose Pharmacy – Rizal Avenue
- Mang Inasal – Rizal Avenue
- Gegee Mall – Burgos Street
- Jollibee Lam-an – Circumferential Rd.
- Golden D. Intersection – Circumferential Rd.
- Emcor Bestbike – Circumferential Rd.
