The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, along with fifteen local government units (LGU) in the province including 2 component cities and 13 municipalities received the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) during the awarding ceremony held today, December 10, 2024 at the Manila Hotel. The LGU awardees are: Alubijid, Balingasag, Balingoan, Binuangan, Claveria, Laguindingan, Magsaysay, Medina, Naawan, Opol, Salay, Sugbongcogon, Villanueva, El Salvador City, and Gingoog City. Congratulations!
The SGLG Awards, established under Republic Act No. 11292, represent the highest recognition conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on LGUs that excel across critical indicators, including Financial Administration and Sustainability, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Safety, Peace, and Order, Disaster Preparedness, and many more.
