A new Philippine Navy naval base is being proposed at the Phividec Industrial Estate in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr. confirmed the plan during his visit to Cagayan de Oro today, November 30. The facility is envisioned to serve as the Philippine Navy’s major operating base in Mindanao, a logistics hub and complete with a dockyard. The project is just awaiting approval from the Office the President to proceed.
