Nestlé Philippines, Inc. has partnered with Minergy Renewable Ventures Inc. (MRVI) on the 9.3-MW Cabulig II hydroelectric power plant project located in Barangay Natubo, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. The ground breaking ceremony was held on October 15, attended by executives from Nestlé and MRVI, as well as local officials led by Jasaan Mayor Redentor Jardin and Claveria Mayor Meraluna Abrogar, Members of the Kiagawan Indigenous Peoples Structure (IPS) and personnel from the 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, were also present to makr this milestone in sustainable energy development.
The project is targeted to start commercial operations in May 2027.
