Boarding a barge at Mukas Port in Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte, en route to Ozamiz City, has become faster and more convenient following the significant drop in travelers after the opening of Panguil Bay Bridge on September 28. The privately-owned port, run by Daima Shipping Corporation, saw a sharp decline in users as many have opted to use the new bridge. However, some passengers have expressed concerns that, despite the absence of long lines, the barges now take longer to depart, as they wait to fill up with more passengers and vehicles before leaving. Panguil Bay Bridge is about 14 kilometers or a 20-30 minute drive from Mukas Port.
