The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental emerged as GRAND WINNER in two major categories at the just concluded Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards. The province won as Best Tourism Promotions Video (Paglaum Sa Turismo) and Best Tourism Week/Month Celebration (2023 MisOr Tourism Week Celebration). These awards were presented during the 25th ATOP National Convention in Koronadal City, South Cotabato yesterday, October 10. Additionally, Misamis Oriental was First Runner-Up for Best Tourism-Oriented Provincial LGU. Congratulations!

Meanwhile, El Salvador City placed 1st Runner-up among Independent and Component Cities for the Best Religious Festival category for its Divine Mercy Shrine of El Salvador City: A Beacon of Faith and Miracles.
The Municipality of Initao, Misamis Oriental likewise secured 1st Runner-up in the Best Institutionalized Culture and the Arts Program (Municipal Level) for its Mga panuos daw mga hinang ku Higaonon (Higaonon Beliefs and Practices).
