St. Peter’s College-Iligan was declared Champion in the recent 31st Silent Drill Competition held at the Anahaw Amphitheater in Iligan City. Meanwhile, Misamis Oriental Institute of Technology (MOIST) from Balingasag, Misamis Oriental and Lyceum of Iligan Foundation secured 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Organized by the Rotaract Club of Iligan, the competition is part of the ongoing Diyandi Festival in celebration of the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel.

The contingents were judged according to timing, precision, performance and execution. Points were deducted for unnecessary movements, dropped rifles or hats and poor timing.

By the way, MOIST secured two minor awards – Best in Chanting and Most Popular. Iligan Capitol College was named Best Marching Unit.


In the high school category, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Academy was declared Champion followed by Iligan City East National High School and Iligan City National High School (ICNHS).
