Cagayan de Oro’s Jeremiah “JB” Borlongan earned his second international cap, replacing Sandro Reyes in the 86th minute and nearly scoring on his first attempt during the battle for 3rd place against Tajikistan in the 2024 Merdeka Cup at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday, September 8. Unfortunately, the Philippines couldn’t find the back of the net in regulation, which ended in a 0-0 draw, and ultimately lost in the penalty shootout.
