While Maria Cristina and Tinago are the most popular waterfalls in Lanao del Norte, Cathedral Falls in Kapatagan town is equally stunning, easily accessible and among the most-visited waterfalls. Unlike many other waterfalls, you don’t need to hike to admire its beauty—its majestic view is visible right from the concrete road and bridge and is open to everybody. Located just 2.38 kilometers from the National Highway or a short 10-minute drive from the town proper, Cathedral Falls is a must-visit destination.
The rectangular stone structures around this 35-feet waterfall gave it the name “Cathedral Falls” as they resemble the pipe organ which is usually played in churches.
