The Protected Area Management Board of Mt. Kalatungan Range Natural Park has announced the REOPENING of Mt. Kalatungan Ecotourism Sites to tourists, climbers, and mountaineers, nearly five months after a temporary closure due to a grassfire incident. Tourism operations have resumed, and the local tourism office of LGU Pangantucan is now accepting bookings for adventure seekers eager to explore this stunning destination. For inquiries and reservations, please contact the tourism office through the Tourism Pangantucan official page or at 0917-774-5868.

Below are photos from the Multi-Sectoral Management Body for Ecotourism meeting at Mt. Kalatungan, held on August 20 at the Session Hall in Barangay Mendis, Pangantucan, Bukidnon. Attendees included representatives from the Protected Area Management Office (PAMB), the Pangantucan Tourism Office, the Barangay Mendis Local Government, Indigenous Peoples, the Municipal IPMR, and the Council of Elders. The meeting was observed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the group discussed plans and activities for the reopening of the Mt. Kalatungan Ecotourism Sites.

It can be recalled that Mt. Kalatungan Range Natural Park was temporarily closed last April 10, 2024 following a grassfire incident just below the summit of Mt. Lumpanag. The closure was deemed necessary to facilitate investigation of the grassfire and ensure the safety of all visitors given the current weather conditions.
