Two teenagers from Cagayan de Oro’s Amateur Boxing Team took home gold medals in the recently concluded 2024 Taipei City Cup Boxing Tournament in Taiwan. Seventeen-year old Nick Anjelo Payla won the gold in the boys’ 46-48 kilogram category while 17-year old Xian Baguhin bagged the gold in girls’ 50-kilogram category. Boxing coach Elmer Pamisa lauded Payla, who was also a gold medalist in the recent Cebu City Palarong Pambansa, ang named ‘Best Boxer’. Congratulations!
