The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cagayan de Oro Temple will be broadcast live on its YouTube channel on August 31, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM. The event will be presided over by Elder Carlos G. Revillo, the Philippines Area President, and will be attended by hundreds of invited members and non-members. The temple will be a two-storey building with approximately 18,449 square feet of space, to be constructed on a 4.9-acre site along Rosario Limketkai Avenue.
