Shoppers at SM CDO Downtown were treated to a stunning display of fashion creations by homegrown designers, featuring Mindanaoan silk crafted by local weavers. The event, titled “Strike A Pose 8: Tela Mindanao Fashion Show,” took place on Friday night, August 16, and is one of the highlights of the 2024 Higalaay Festival in Cagayan de Oro City. Among the featured models was Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019, Emma Tiglao. The event was organized by renowned fashion designer Gil Macaibay, showcasing the rich textile heritage and creativity of Mindanao.
