RANDOM SHOTS: “Very Important Pinoys” start Cagayan de Oro – Misamis Oriental tour

Over 200 Filipino balikbayans, known as “Very Important Pinoys” (VIPs), are in Cagayan de Oro City for a 5-day VIP Tour from July 25-29, 2024 to visit tourist spots in the city and Misamis Oriental as well as Bukidnon, Iligan City, and Lanao del Norte. Organized by Rajah Tours in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Region X (DOT), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and the Tourism Promotions Board, the delegates have already enjoyed a seafood feast at Panagatan in Opol and a cultural and heritage tour in the city. This tour included stops at Museo de Oro, St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral, City Museum of Cagayan de Oro and Heritage Studies Center, Gaston Park, and Ginama Shop.

The delegates are led by Consul General of New York, Senen T. Mangalile, Vice Consul General Cath Ryne Denice Aguilar, and Consul General of San Francisco, Neil Frank Ferrer, along with Tourism Attaché Francisco Lardizabal.

Both the City of Cagayan de Oro and Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental are currently hosting a dinner for the delegates at the City Tourism Hall.
