National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Executive Director Eric B. Zerrudo recently paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ A. Uy on Friday, July 19, to discuss the proposed Cagayan de Oro River Cultural Heritage Zone Act. Director Zerrudo emphasized the urgency of City Hall’s support for the campaign to declare the Cagayan de Oro River a cultural heritage site. He highlighted the river’s significant role in the economic and cultural affairs of the city’s early inhabitants.
Also present during last Friday’s courtesy visit were Reverend Father Jonas Awayan, city museum officer-in-charge JC Salon and Acting City Tourism Officer Mr. Mark Kenneth Jalapadan.
