The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) increased its gold medal count to 10 with wins in volleyball, badminton, and chess today. Luyong Bonbon Elementary School in Opol, Misamis Oriental, represented NMRAA and won the gold in Elementary Girls Volleyball. Led by Shannel Elorde, the LBES Smashers came from behind to defeat CALABARZON in three sets, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19. NMRAA also secured gold in Badminton Elementary Boys Doubles with Jhon Jobem Auditor and Don Edward Chan from San Alonzo Elementary School and in Chess Standard Elementary Girls Individual with Janin Dhrey L. Querequere from Balingoan Central School, both in Balingoan, Misamis Oriental.
