A new Tourist Rest Area will soon rise at Jampason, Initao, Misamis Oriental. Located just near the new Municipal Hall, the place will highlight clean restrooms for tourists in transit to different tourist destinations as well as a coffee shop, pasalubong and souvenir store, tourist information area, and a charging station.
Initao, a coastal town located between highly urbanized cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan is known for its pristine sandy beaches. Its resorts are popular tourist spots. It is also home to the 57-hectare natural forest called Lasang Secret Adventure within the Initao–Libertad Protected Landscape and Seascape, a protected area in the province.
