The first gun permit renewal hub of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Mindanao is set to open in Cagayan de Oro City next month. PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil announced this initiative as part of the PNP’s efforts to streamline and make the process of renewing permits to carry firearms (PTC) more accessible. Additionally, the renewal process for the license to own and possess firearms (LTOPF) and firearm registration (FR) will soon be fully computerized. Currently, applicants still have to visit Camp Crame in person to avail of these services.
