Several roadside trees along Masterson Avenue, particularly across from the Chinese Cemetery, have already been cut as part of the ongoing road widening project undertaken by the DPWH. The permit issued on May 16 indicated that a total of 290 trees would be affected by this project. It spans from Pryce Plaza Junction (K1441+376) to 177 meters up (K1441+553), and again from the Southern Phils Union Conference (SPUC) Entrance Gate (K1441+638) to near the Balulang Zone 1 Junction (K1443+483), close to SM City CDO Uptown.
