Construction of the 4-lane 37.6-kilometer CDO-Laguindingan Mountain Diversion Road is still far from completion. Based on DPWH-10’s latest official progress update, only 5.22 kilometers of the total road length have been concreted. This road starts from CDO Airport Road (back of Hotel Koresco) then towards the western side of Misamis Oriental passing some western barangays of the city and then traversing the hinterland areas of Opol, El Salvador City, Alubijid and finally Laguindingan.
The road project will also improve access to the upland areas in this part of Misamis Oriental, aiding the transportation of goods for local farmers and producers.
