The 58.04-kilometer Damay-Kalabugao-Adtolawon Road which completes the East-West Lateral Road connecting Agusan del Sur to Bukidnon is one of the eleven High Impact Infrastructure Projects in Northern Mindanao. As of May 2024, 54.09 kilometers have already been concreted. Work on concreting of gaps, concreting of ongoing road gravelling section continues. This road traverses rolling and mountainous terrain.
As reported by DPWH-X Regional Director Zenaida Tan during last week’s Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas, an estimated P5.618 billion out of a total estimated project cost of P6.658 billion has been released for the project which aims to provide connectivity between Region X and Region XIII (Caraga) and improve economic development in hinterland areas.

This 2-lane road project begins at the Junction Sayre Highway at Brgy San Vicente in Sumilao. Along the alignment is the Philippine Eagle Landmark at Guilang-Guilang which was installed in May 2022.
