Check out the latest construction update of the 4.25-kilometer, 2-lane CDO New Eastern Diversion Road. This new alternate road starts at South Diversion Road (near Alegria Hills) and winds through the upper slopes of Mandumol in Macasandig, Nazareth, and Camaman-an, connecting to JR Borja Extension and extending all the way to Lapasan. As shown, construction has now reached Bolonsiri in Camaman-an. Photos by TRip ni ToniO.

When, completed, this will serve as an alternate route to decongest the main highways going in and out of the city which will significantly reduce travel time for passengers. See road alignment below. There could still be some minor realignment of the route on the ground resulting from right-of-way negotiations.

This is the completed section.

Alegria Hills can be seen in the upper left.

The road opening is now approaching Richmond Hills. The city proper is shown in the background.

Keep posted.
