Cagayan de Oro’s Alicia Margarett Villanueva exploded for 25 points as the Gilas Pilipinas Girls bucked a slow start to overpower host Thailand, 103-58, at the start of the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup 2024 SEABA Qualifiers at Ratchaburi Gymnasium in Bangkok, Thailand tonight, May 24. The 18-year old Villanueva, who plays for the National University-Nazareth School capped her performance with a 3-pointer with 2.9 seconds for the final count.
