The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is looking to approve four loans for major Philippine transport infrastructure projects including the 65-km Central Mindanao High Standard Highway Project linking Cagayan de Oro City to Malaybalay City. The said project which is set for implementation in 2027 is expected to improve connectivity and economic growth between Northern and Central Mindanao. Of the total 65 kilometers, the civil works for Section 1 which is 11 kilometers long will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) while civil works for Sections 2-5 which is 54 kilometers in length will be funded by ADB.
