The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) has released a statement that its Board of Trustees during its 1009th Board Meeting today, May 17, 2024, has approved the full takeover of the Cagayan de Oro City Water District. During the full takeover of the water district, Interim Board Members and an Interim General Manager shall be appointed by the LWUA Administrator. This after thorough assessment of the official documents submitted by COWD following orders of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. during his visit to the city yesterday.
