Cagayan de Oro City had the 4th largest total current operating income among all cities outside Metro Manila in 2023. The city earned an income of P3.13488 billion from local sources and P2.45101 billion from external sources for a total current operating income of P5.58589 billion. This is according to preliminary figures from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) on the Statement of Receipts and Expenditures by all local government units for fiscal year 2023.
