Promising Ian Paul “The Assasin” Abne from Cagayan de Oro City knocked down Darwin “Cool Boy” Boyones of Biñan City, Laguna three times in the 7th round en route to a convincing unanimous decision victory to remain unbeaten and win the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation minimumweight title during the “Engkwentro 13 sa Mandaue” held last May 1, at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex. The 24-year old Abne got the nod of all three judges with scores of 100-88, 98-89 and 98-89 to improve his record to 11 wins and a draw. Congratulations!
