Bestfriend Goodies, a local pasalubong producer in Cagayan de Oro City, was recently recognized as among the winners of the 2024 Katha Awards for Food during the recently concluded International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines at the Philippine International Convention Center on April 26, 2024. Bestfriend Goodies’ Bean Appetit Monggo with Squash in Coconut Milk and Dilis won the award for the Ready-to-Eat Savories and Home Meal Replacements category, the first in Region 10.
Recognized as a seal of Philippine food innovation and creativity, Katha Awards for Food seeks to challenge food entrepreneurs across the country to foster a culture of excellence in developing new export products.
The event was organized by DTI Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).
