The DOST-PAGASA Planetarium Project in Molugan, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, the first planetarium in Mindanao is finally completed and will be opened soon. The facility is a theater primarily built for presenting educational and entertaining shows about astronomy and the night sky, as well as for training in celestial navigation. It features chambers, a small astronomical observatory, main office space, a gallery hall, a conference room, among other amenities. Its aim is to bring Mindanaoans closer to experiencing a world-class facility that offers and simulates a clear view of outer space, ideal for students, tourists, and space enthusiasts.
