The 3.17-kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge will be opened to traffic this August 2024. This was disclosed by the joint venture contractor Namkwang-Kukdong-Gumwang. The bridge which will link Tangub City in Misamis Occidental and Tubod in Lanao del Norte was originally set to be completed in June this year. The ₱7.37 Billion bridge project will reduce land travel time between Tangub City and Tubod from 2 to 2.5 hours to just 7 minutes.

Funded by a loan agreement between the Government of the Philippines and the Government of South Korea through its Economic Development Cooperation Fund, the construction work is under joint venture contractor Namkwang-Kukdong-Gumwang with Yooshin Eng’g Corp. in joint venture with Pyunghwa Eng’g & KyongHo Eng’g & Architects as project consultant.
