Melvin Jerusalem of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon has just become a 2-time world champion after knocking down Japanese titleholder Yudai Shigeoka twice en route to a split decision victory to claim the WBC World mini-flyweight title at the International Conference Hall in Nagoya, Japan today. Congratulations!
Jerusalem dropped Shigeoka in the 3rd and 6th rounds.
