Nine years ago, heavy equipment and concrete piles started to arrive at the 3-hectare property at the corner of CM Recto Avenue and President Osmena Street in Cagayan de Oro City. It was once occupied by Coca-Cola Bottling Facility before the plant relocated to Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. The start of construction of SM’s second mall in the city was highly anticipated back then because it carried the “premier” brand and offered greater accessibility to the downtown area.
SM CDO Downtown Premier opened on May 12, 2017 with 177,743 sqm gross leasable area (GLA) making it the largest SM Supermall in Mindanao in terms of GLA.
