A balikbayan has finally recovered her US passport she lost a couple of weeks ago. This after the finder, a sincere and honest security officer contacted the police and the owner through the numbers posted in our Facebook page. Actually, Joviniel Guzman found Matet Sangalang’s passport last week along Osmeña Extension in downtown Cagayan de Oro but just could not locate her until he saw our Facebook post. She was accompanied by two police officers during the meet up with Guzman at Ces Tuna Restaurant in Gusa.

Sangalang who is staying at Mesaverte Residences is scheduled to fly back to the US on May 5. She is shown below with Joviniel after he turned over to her the navy blue passport holder which contained her passport and other important travel documents.
Joviniel thought she could have been a victim of a pickpocket who threw away the blue passport holder after not finding any money,
Matet is a picture of joy and relief.
