Cagayan de Oro City posted the 2nd highest per capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2022, among 17 highly urbanized cities and 82 provinces outside Metro Manila. This is according to figures released today, March 18, 2024 by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The city’s per capita GDP amounted to PhP 343,936 which is almost twice the national average of Php 178,751.
In PSA’s Provincial Product Accounts, the city ranked second only to Baguio City with the highest per capita GDP. See Table 1 below.
