Concerned residents living near Acacia Street in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City are calling for authorities to act immediately against the so-called SUYOP RUGBY GANG, a group composed mostly of minors addicted to rugby who loiter along the crest of the dike and vicinity under the Kagay-an Bridge causing disturbance. Moreover, they are reportedly involved in the theft and vandalism of railings on the dike and adjacent properties near the newly-constructed JICA-funded megadike structure. Additionally, their activities often escalate into gang conflicts during the night resulting to glass bottles raining on rooftops of residents in the area.
