The 3-storey Alternate Government and Control Center for Mindanao located near Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro City will be finally realized. Phase 2 of the project costing P33.8 million has just undergone the pre-bidding process by the DPWH. This facility will serve as a backup hub to ensure continuity of emergency operations in the event of disasters or any incidents that may compromise the functionality of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC) Operations Center.
As shown below, the project under the 2nd Phase is funded under General Appropriations Act (GAA) for 2024.

The exact location of the facility is along the southern section of the airport complex.

Here’s the perspective of the facility.

The facility actually broke ground in 2019 led by then NDRRMC Chairperson Delfin Lorenzana.

Keep posted.
